Masjid Al-Falaah participates in
Cancer Walk with other faith comunities on Saturday May 12, 2018.
For the second year, our Majid Al
Falaah along with Jewish Temple and the St. James AME Church
participated in the 5th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA (Chesapeake Cancer Alliance)
Celebration Walk supporting Cancer LifeNet. Cancer LifeNet offers many
services free of charge to any person living in Harford and Cecil Counties
facing any type of Cancer. These services include:
¥ Education and assistance from oncology nurse navigators
¥ Counseling and assistance with access to resources from oncology
social workers
¥ Support groups and educational programs
¥ Specialized nutritional counseling
¥ A patient financial advocate to educate the potential
financial impact as well as assist the patient to financial resources
not otherwise covered by insurance
¥ Support from trained volunteer navigators who have personal
experience with cancer
Cancer continues to touch the world
around us. What can we do to support our family, friends, congregants, and
co-workers who are dealing with CANCER here in Harford and Cecil Counties?
